Mentoring relationships can help people grow both professionally and personally. While many people think that the benefits are only experienced by the person being mentored, but the person doing the mentoring also receives benefits.
Goodbye 2018 - Hello Fabulous 2019!
These seem like pretty vague goals, but I did that for a reason. I understand the principle behind S.M.A.R.T. goals, but I also recognize that I need a year of flexibility after working for structured jobs my entire adult life. I need this year to be whatever it’s going to be, and not try to control every aspect of it.
Rebuilding Anchorage
For people who haven’t been through an earthquake, the physical damage in this picture is minimal. The emotional damage, however, is great. Even 48 hours after the earthquake hit, I couldn’t walk into my home office without feeling anxious, nauseous and terrified that the shaking would start again.

Whether it’s brewing beer, selling beautiful pieces of artwork, or serving up the best breakfast in town, I want to be there to support them in whatever way they need.

Working Hard on the Right Things
As I hung my head in embarrassment, and he hung his head in shame, he gracefully thanked me for my time and paid me $20 for the effort (from his own pocket since the head editor refused all payment for my work). I was devastated, and it caused me to question how this contract went horribly wrong. How did both a competent middle man editor and an experienced content writer miss the mark so badly?
