Oh #Monslay, I Discovered You a Little Too Late in the Day

Today has been the Mondays of Mondays. It’s not that today was bad, per say, but just a rush of things I forgot were happening today. Between shopping for Thanksgiving groceries, working for my client, a forgotten appointment requiring me to pick up a child from school, and a dog under anesthesia, I did NOT feel put together today.

After I finally got my dog home and settled down (who’s now snoring at my feet), I realized that I hadn’t wrote my Motivational Monday post yet. In a desperate panic to try and keep to my blogging schedule, I started researching possible quotes for my post.

What I stumbled upon wasn’t a quote - it was a hashtag.

#Monslay

I’ll admit, I had no idea what this meant. So… my research continued and shifted to figure out what this hashtag meant. What I discovered made me chuckle.

#Monslay

I’m alive, motivated, determined and ready to slay the day

The reason I chuckled was because this is the opposite of my day. I felt rushed, behind schedule, and a little panicked with trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. I could have used a motivational quote like this one AT THE BEGINNING OF MY DAY!

However, i think it’s better that I found it after the kind of day I had. I now not only know what it stands for, but I know what a “non-Monslay” day feels like.

To everyone who’s had a Monday like mine, just remember that next Monday you are now prepared for the day. #Monslay everyone!
