5 Tips for Staying Sane as a WFHM During Spring Break
It is that time again - Spring Break! And I’ll be the first to admit, I was NOT prepared for it. Last Thursday, as I’m getting my kids to bed, I reminded my son to pack his lunch for Friday. The response was “no, I don’t need to” This stopped me in my tracks, and I turned around and asked me why.
For those of you who don’t know, my son isn’t always the best communicator. His response was “because I don’t need a lunch”. After about 5 minutes of us going back and forth, he finally said “Mom. Tomorrow is Spring Break. Why would I pack a lunch to eat at home?”
WHAT?!?! I had completely spaced that it was Spring Break already. I forgot to put it on a calendar, and was not prepared to tackle a week of both kids at home while working.
After a rough weekend of staying up too late, daylight savings time almost ruining a brunch date with a friend, and spacing that yesterday was Monday (thus I forgot the Motivational Monday blog post), I realized that I needed to sit down and breath. I need a game plan for staying sane this week.
After putting some brain power to it, here are my five tips for staying sane as a work-from-home-mom.
